Beulah Thomas "Sippie" Wallace

Known as the "Texas Nightingale," Houston singer and boogie woogie piano player Wallace became a star in the black record industry world three months after her first record was pressed on the Okeh label in 1923. Her career experience a comeback in the 1970s through her performances with Bonnie Raitt. Wallace died in Detroit in 1986.
